The first time we saw this cottage there was no way we could imagine how well it would turn out.
When the owners first approached us to renovate this cottage, we saw it as an exciting challenge to restore a piece of local history. It was originally built in 1908 and was full of historic memorabilia within the walls. We read many newspapers from the 1900’s at smoko each day.
The owners wanted to keep as much of the original cottage as possible and to reuse as much of the original materials as they could. In these photos, you can see we have reused all the old floorboards as the cabinetry and made doors with them. The old fireplace was also restored. This was an amazing job to see from start to finish.
