This was a rebuild. The original building was an old barrack style building from the early 80’s which had probably been for guests or family who came to stay. This was knocked down and we built this heavy timber home within the same floor plan, but went up a floor to add a bedroom, bathroom and library.
There are 4 hammer-beam trusses in an open plan living area, which were built on-site. These heavy timbers add a lovely warmth to this home, a very different feel to the original one.
